Goal of the Interagency Workgroup
Originally, the exchange interagency workgroup was established to coordinate efforts between the various state agencies that would be involved in implementing a state-based exchange.
When the 2011 Montana State Legislature failed to pass authorizing legislation for a state-based exchange, the interagency workgroup refocused its efforts on integrating existing state infrastructure with the forthcoming federally facilitated insurance exchange.
